TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We believe in doing the right thing and building long-term relationships with our customers. In the event of any dispute, our first desire is to resolve matters immediately and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
We have made every effort to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. However, as our lampshades are of a bespoke nature, slight variations in colour and size may occur from time to time. Fabric and trim samples are available on request. All items are subject to availability. Shady and the Lamp will inform you as soon as possible if goods you have ordered are not available. Online prices are subject to change without notice and are inclusive of vat (where applicable). We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been mispublished, including prices and promotions.
Payment for Shady and the Lamp’s goods is through certain credit and debit cards via Shopify. Payments through the website are processed securely using advanced and up-to-date security-protected software. Your payment information is encrypted to ensure that it is fully protected and processed securely. Your payment details are not held by Shady and the Lamp.
For all bespoke and made to order lamps / shades, the final project cost is non-refundable, unless the item is faulty or damaged on arrival. Please note online prices may be subject to change.
FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS
In the unlikely event that goods bought from Shady and the Lamp are faulty, we will happily replace the items at no charge to the customer or alternatively, to refund the cost of purchase. Please email our customer service firstname.lastname@example.org within 24hrs of receipt of delivery. When emailing please include a photograph of the damaged/faulty item and in particular, the box it arrived in. We will then be able to discuss a replacement, repair or a refund for you. Please DO NOT return damaged or faulty goods without contacting us first. We cannot accept responsibility for goods that have been damaged after delivery as a result of poor handling or storage.
We do not exchange goods and would ask that you return your item in accordance with our returns policy and re-order the replacement on our website. All items must be returned to us in accordance with our returns policy before a refund is issued. In the case of faulty items we reserve our position until we have had an opportunity to examine the goods.
We hope you will be very happy with your Shady and the Lamp purchases. However, if you decide to return goods bought from us, please notify us within 7 days of your intention to return goods. We’ll be happy to refund a product provided it is returned unused, in its original packaging and in fully re-saleable condition. Returns should be made within 10 days from receipt of goods. Please note that you must cover the cost of the return shipment, unless the item is incorrect or faulty. We strongly recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for any damage until we receive them. We also recommend that you use a secure trackable shipper and that you retain proof of sending, in case of a dispute. If the product returned is not in fully re-saleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item. Customers will need to cover any import duties that may arise when returning items from another country.
For all bespoke and made to order lamps / shades, the item is non-returnable, unless the item is faulty or damaged on arrival.
We reserve the right to refuse returns if our returns policy is not followed. Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.
